We started in early 2009 when we - Mike & Jen - launched theSwole.com blog. In our articles we took a fresh approach to fitness, diet and lifestyle. Readers were hooked almost overnight, asking us for help with their own training, diet and lifestyle issues. We decided to create a fully-fledged personal training service geared toward comprehensive lifestyle-transformation. Since then we’ve helped hundreds of clients make lasting, meaningful changes to their lives.
Hey there! I’m Mike. My passion is helping people overcome their obstacles and achieve any kind of fitness, nutritional or lifestyle goal. I started as an in person personal trainer and over the last 4 years transitioned to working online almost completely. I love the freedom and focus that online personal training brings and all the new dimensions that it opened.
My strongest asset is my ability to understand where a lot of my clients come from since I personally had overcome the challenges of having a poor lifestyle and being overweight. In that sense I’m client 0 and that’s what initially motivated me to immerse myself in everything fitness and nutrition related. I read everything I could, talked with anyone willing to share their advice, and experimented with every method I came across. Now I continue on my quest of personal improvement but I share everything that I’ve learned along the way with my clients.
I love to teach as much as I love to learn and have built our service on that premise. With every new client, I spend a lot of time asking questions and trying to understand exactly where you are coming from and where you want to go. Like a good tailor, I want to fit our program to you, not the other way around.
I’m a very down to earth and patient person. I believe communication is the most important thing to being a personal trainer. Whatever your background and whatever your situation, I’m committed to working together to find your path to lasting, meaningful change.

Hi! I’m Jen and I handle the nutrition side of things. I’m also a personal trainer and do meet mostly with our female clients. I also strive to keep our programs current and effective by staying on the cutting edge of nutrition and exercise science.
I’ve been fascinated with food and cooking since childhood. My background includes both culinary school and copious research experience, and I work to integrate both taste and efficacy into manageable nutrition programs for every client.
In addition to food and nutrition, I am also an avid athlete with experience in track, soccer, powerlifting, yoga and dance. I craft unique movement plans that utilize the activities you enjoy to bring about the physique you want.
Above all, I specialize in a comprehensive approach that fully addresses the psychological and physical factors in diet and lifestyle change. Whether you’ve been fighting this battle your whole life or want to make some small improvements, I can help craft the ideal plan for your success.
